Our In Residence initiative invites makers and creatives—whether painters, ceramicists, musicians, writers, perfumers, or designers—to call Journey home for a time. During their stay, they engage directly with our guests, offering experiences that blend artistic practice with authentic hospitality.
Each residency is unique, often culminating in a pop-up exhibit, open studio, salon talk, or collaborative activation that sparks conversation and connection.

Nikolina Kovalenko: With exhibitions across New York, Europe, and Asia, Nikolina Kovalenko is known for creating powerful, immersive pieces focused on ecological themes. Her latest works, developed during her time in East Hampton, are influenced by the region’s rich natural beauty—from oceanfront landscapes to ancient woodlands.
